Connected use cases

Better family experiences across the products children use.

See how consented family preferences can become more useful, product-native outcomes across content, routines, communication, discovery, purchases, and wellbeing.

Illustrative workflows, not claims of universal coverage. Every outcome depends on family consent and a participating platform exposing the corresponding control.

Six family moments

Keep the family context. Let products respond natively.

Each example names the information a workflow needs, the consent it depends on, and the point where platform responsibility begins.

Content and maturity

Family need

Different children and moments can call for different profiles, ratings, or content modes.

Where coarse controls lose context

Block the entire product. A whole-product block discards the distinctions already available inside a participating product.

Illustrative connected outcome

Use the appropriate profile, rating, or content mode.

Required information and consent

The relevant age band or profile, the selected maturity preference, family authority, and consent to share that bounded preference.

Platform boundary

The platform must expose a matching profile or rating control. Phosra does not rate content or override a platform’s own safety decision.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Time and routines

Family need

School, bedtime, travel, and family time can require different experiences without making a product unavailable all day.

Where coarse controls lose context

Turn the device off. A device-wide shutoff cannot express which routine applies or which product-native mode would fit it.

Illustrative connected outcome

Adapt the experience to the family routine.

Required information and consent

The family member, relevant routine and time zone, permitted schedule, family authority, and consent to share the schedule signal.

Platform boundary

The participating product decides which schedule-aware behavior it supports. Phosra cannot change routines in products that are not connected.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Design-partner beta

Communication and connection

Family need

Families may want children to stay connected with approved people while preserving quiet hours and age-appropriate boundaries.

Where coarse controls lose context

Block communication. A total communication block loses relationship, timing, and purpose context.

Illustrative connected outcome

Apply relationship- and time-aware communication settings.

Required information and consent

The relevant relationship or approved-contact class, time boundary, family authority, and explicit consent for the communication preference.

Platform boundary

The platform keeps responsibility for identity, moderation, and message handling. Phosra does not read messages or create contacts.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Discovery and recommendations

Family need

Feeds, search, autoplay, and recommendations should reflect the child’s stage and the family’s selected experience.

Where coarse controls lose context

Block discovery surfaces. Blocking discovery altogether removes useful exploration along with the surfaces a family wants to constrain.

Illustrative connected outcome

Use age-aware discovery and recommendation modes.

Required information and consent

An age band or profile, the selected discovery preferences, the purpose of the request, family authority, and consent.

Platform boundary

The platform owns its catalog and ranking systems. Phosra can carry a bounded preference only where the platform exposes a supported control.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Purchases and permissions

Family need

Families need timely approval for consequential actions without disabling every download, purchase, or subscription.

Where coarse controls lose context

Disable every purchase. A blanket purchase ban cannot distinguish a permitted action from one that needs a parent’s decision.

Illustrative connected outcome

Ask for approval when the action requires it.

Required information and consent

The action type, applicable approval rule, authorized decision-maker, minimum transaction context, and consent to request approval.

Platform boundary

The platform remains the merchant and executes or rejects the action. Phosra does not process payments or guarantee fulfillment.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Safety and wellbeing

Family need

Children can benefit from age-aware defaults, meaningful nudges, and carefully scoped safety responses.

Where coarse controls lose context

Monitor or block everything. Monitoring or blocking everything replaces a specific family preference with a broad intervention that may not fit the moment.

Illustrative connected outcome

Use bounded, consented safety and wellbeing responses.

Required information and consent

The selected wellbeing setting, relevant age band, purpose, family authority, explicit consent, and only the minimum signal needed.

Platform boundary

Each platform decides which supported response is appropriate. Phosra does not provide universal monitoring, clinical judgment, or a safety guarantee.

Current availability

Available only through a scoped design-partner workflow; no production connection is implied.

Bring one workflow, the product-native control your team owns, and the consent and evidence boundaries you need to test.
